The motif
The motif shows Chalmersplatsen as seen from Aschebergsgatan, with the main entrance to Chalmers. On the right-hand side is the northern most part of the student union building containing Chalmers Conference Centre, owned by the student union. On the left-hand side is Chalmers central administrative building.
The tray
Handmade, one-by-one, these Swedish craftmanship trays provide light weight, high quality products that lasts. The material is laminated birch veneer from Öland. The melamin based surface can withstand heat and stains. Food Contact Approved and dishwasher proof (95° C).
The artist
The motif is created by Halmstad artist Nils-Erik Nilsson. Since the beginning of 1970’s he has painted motifs of Hallands landscape and coast. Since 2003 he has mainly created cityscapes and Christmas cards from Swedens 134 cities. The motifs strive to capture the spirit of each location and are therefore a mix of fantasy, reality, comedy and contain a wealth of details.
