Chalmers Student Union's coat-tails should be worn with formal attire, available at STORE. Section and possibly association idiosyncrasies are also usually worn, but an accepted rule is that a maximum of three tailcoats are worn at any one time. In addition, the institution, section or association that the wearer values most is worn in descending order. Traditionally, the Chalmers coat tails are worn first, followed by the section, followed by any committee you are or have been on at the time.
Coat-tails for tailcoats
The coat-tail is attached to the shirt chest under the coat waistcoat, sloping from the right shoulder to the left waist. The strap is usually 50cm long.

Tails for ball gowns
A dress is worn with tails in the form of a so-called bow. The bow is attached on the left side, close to the heart, but should be fastened in such a way that it does not touch bare skin.
